President and Chief Executive Officer
A board-certified internist, Talbot “Mac” McCormick, M.D., began as a hospitalist in 2003, and has since served in various physician leadership roles including Practice Medical Director, Regional Medical Director, and Chief Operating Officer prior to being named CEO. As President and CEO, Dr. McCormick is responsible for oversight of clinical operations, comprehensive clinical “best practices”, leadership development and clinical innovation. He also oversees the execution of strategic plans at Locum Connections, with special emphasis on physician matters, practice development and customer care.
Dr. McCormick practiced internal medicine for 20 years and served in a number of executive-level positions. After graduating with a degree in chemistry from Baylor University with Magna Cum Laude honors, he received his Medical Doctorate from Emory University. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Emory University affiliated hospitals in Atlanta. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Southern Medical Association, the Society for Hospital Medicine and the American College of Physician Executives.
